Council offers free parking in run up to Christmas
To support local Christmas programmes and to enhance trade in the market towns of Mid Devon, 24-hour free parking will be available in the Councils long-stay car parks in the run up to Christmas.
Parking will be available as in previous years on the following Saturday’s:
Crediton – St Saviour’s Way Car Park
- Saturday 26 November (Christmas light switch-on and Lantern Parade)
- Saturday 3 December
- Saturday 10 December
- Saturday 17 December
Cullompton – Station Road Car Park
- Saturday 26 November (Cullompton Christmas Celebrations begin)
- Saturday 3 December
- Saturday 10 December
- Saturday 17 December
Tiverton – Multi-Storey Car Park
- Saturday 26 November (Christmas light switch-on / Electric Nights at Tiverton Pannier Market)
- Saturday 3 December
- Saturday 10 December
- Saturday 17 December
Normal parking charges apply at the above car parks on all other days of the year.
Councillor Andrew Moore, Cabinet Member for Finance said: “It's great to be able to offer free parking in the build up to Christmas again this year. Celebrating the festive period gives our local businesses a chance to provide a wonderful shopping experience for everyone who visits and lets shoppers see what our market towns have to offer.”
