Cosmic Chairman Recognised recognised in New Year Honours

Cosmic is delighted to celebrate the award of a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) to its Chairman, Martin Davies, in recognition of his services to the employment of disabled people.

This prestigious honour acknowledges Martin’s long‑standing commitment to championing inclusion, accessibility and opportunity for disabled people, both through his professional life and his leadership within the social enterprise sector. Over many years, Martin has been a passionate advocate for removing barriers created by technology, systems and attitudes, and for ensuring that disabled people are supported to thrive, lead and influence change.

Martin responded to the news – “I'm am honoured  to have been nominated for such a prestigious award. It has only been possible because of the brilliant people I have worked with over the years. However there remains so much to do and that's why I'm so excited to be part of the amazing Cosmic team striving to ensure no one is digitally excluded in any aspect of their lives, including Employment.”

Since becoming Chairman of Cosmic, Martin has played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s social purpose, values and impact. His insight, challenge and unwavering belief in digital inclusion have helped steer Cosmic’s strategic direction, ensuring that accessibility and inclusion are embedded across our digital skills training, business services and partnerships.
