Filming for the second series of BBC One’s Street Auction series, presented by Paul Martin of Flog It!, will take place at Tothill Park in Plymouth on June 24th from 1.30pm.

The series, due to be broadcast in the Autumn, will feature a variety of locations across the UK, bringing together a street and a community for a massive fund-raising effort.

Earlier this month neighbours in the area were asked to donate unwanted and unloved items which will now be sold at a ‘pop up’ auction, hosted by Paul, right in the heart of their community.

The auction in turn forms part of a street party with stalls of donated items including cakes, bric-a-brac, books and plants, along with other fund-raising initiatives and entertainment.

The stalls will all add to the money being raised for local good causes and, at the end of the event, the grand total will be announced.

“We’re really looking forward to it,” said Paul Martin. “Izzie and Danny, my fellow presenters, met some fantastic people on our rummaging day and it makes you realise how keen people are to help in a community effort.

“It also makes you realise how all of us have things we are willing to part with! We’ve found some great things in sheds and attics.

“The wonderful people in Plymouth have donated some fantastic items.”

“We hope lots of people will come along on the day – and bring something to sell for the fund!”

The street party event will open at 1.30pm Paul will take to the rostrum at 3.30pm.  It will be held near the bowling club.
