Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information after a white van collided with an eight-year-old boy in Moretonhampstead and then failed to stop.

The incident took place at around 4.10pm on Wednesday, 18 September 2013 on a narrow country lane between the village of North Bovey and Moretonhamstead.

The van collided with the boy as it passed him and his two siblings in the lane but left the scene without stopping.

The boy sustained a fractured leg.

It is possible that the van in question had signwriting and a flourescent stripe on the side.

The van was travelling towards North Bovey at the time of the collision.

Anyone with information concerning the collision is asked to contact the Police on 101 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
