Police are appealing for information after a man's body was discovered in Bodmin last week.

A dog walker discovered the body in the field at the back of Gilbert Road shortly before 5.55pm on Tuesday 15 July.

The deceased man has been formally identified as Gary Nice, 47, from Milbrook.

A forensic post-mortem has been conducted and his death remains unexplained.

Gary's family has paid tribute to him: “Gary is sorely missed, he was a loving son, brother, uncle and nephew. We ask for our privacy to be respected at this time.”

Although his death is not being treated as suspicious detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances in order to prepare a report for the coroner.

Anyone who saw Gary, or had contact with him, between Thursday 3 July and Tuesday 15 July, is asked to call Bodmin CID on 101, quoting EN/141471/14.
