Appeal following serious assault in Saltash

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Saltash yesterday (Tuesday, May 27) that left a man with serious stab wounds.

Police were called to an adress in Alamein Road at around 2pm to reprts of an injured man.

The 19-year-old local man was then airlifted to Derriford Hospital suffering from a number of stab wounds to his body.

Following enquiries, police have arrested a man and a woman in connection with the incident and they remain in police custody.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or been in the Alamein Road area this afternoon to contact police on 101, quoting log 387 of 27 May 2014.
