Appeal after woman assaulted and robbed in Plymouth

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted and robbed in Plymouth city centre.

The incident happened on the footpath between Cornwall Street car park and New George Street between 4pm and 5pm on 11 December.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was assaulted by two other women who approached her on the footpath. They then grabbed her handbag and stole cosmetics plus £250 from her purse.

The woman sustained a number of injuries including bruising to her face and back, and she had two teeth knocked out.

Police are investigating and appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
