Foot Anstey advises on merger of ERS Medical with E-zec Medical Transport Services

National law firm, Foot Anstey LLP, has advised the management team at Leeds-headquartered ERS Transition, trading as ERS Medical, on its acquisition by Surrey-based E-zec Medical Transport Services, which is a portfolio company of Cairngorm Capital.

The merger of these two providers of non-emergency patient transport businesses means that the combined group now has more than 2,500 employees and a turnover of £100M. The new entity will serve more than 50 commissioning bodies from 55 operational sites located across the country.

Foot Anstey's team included Duncan Sykes (Partner), Tim Young (Legal Director) and Emma Robinson (Associate). They advised ERS Medical's management team on the legalities of the merger, providing pragmatic and understandable advice that enabled the sale to go ahead smoothly.

When asked about the transaction, Tim Young said: "Both E-zec and ERS have undergone significant growth over the past few years. This merger is part of the companies next steps to bolster growth and expand their geographical reach.

"Foot Anstey has a long-standing relationship with ERS having advised on its acquisition from SRCL Ltd in 2017. We feel proud to have been asked to support on the merger for ERS and work with the talented team in conjunction with other parties to achieve the result everyone wanted and will no doubt benefit the industry and patients ERS and E-zec served separately."
