A group of kind-hearted Santas visited the children’s ward just before Christmas, armed with gifts, chocolates and cards.

The Custom Owners Group, a brigade of local bikers across Devon and Cornwall, came together to spread some Christmas cheer to the patients of the children’s wards at Derriford Hospital.

The group of 16 members banded together with numerous local businesses in Devon and Cornwall to deliver a kind donation, in excess of 60 presents and over 40 chocolate gifts. Each child will also receive a Christmas card from the Custom Owners Group showcasing a selection of their customised motorcycles in a Christmas theme.

The Group has previously put on a custom bike show to raise funds for the Derriford Oncology Unit, and has charity at the heart of the club’s ethos.

Sam Cartwright, Play Specialist, said: “We really appreciate the efforts of the Custom Owners Group and are very grateful to the members and everyone who donated gifts, chocolates and cards to be handed out to the children on our wards.”
