A fun day held by Otter Nurseries in Brixton raised £545 for the garden centre’s charity of the year, Alzheimer’s Society.

Over 300 people attended the event, which included a car wash, tombola and the chance to get up close to some beautiful owls with ‘Hold an Owl’. The bouncy castle proved a popular attraction for children.

Otter Nurseries Manager, Phil Hewish said: “We had a tremendous day; everyone had a great time, and luckily the weather cleared for the day so everything was enjoyed outside as planned.

“I would like to say thank you to those who came along and supported the event and also to our events organiser Adele for all her hard work.”

Otter Nurseries is fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society throughout the year through raffles, collecting tins, in-store promotions and staff events.
