Hospital staff to support Healthy Plymouth event

Representatives from Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust will be in attendance at this year’s Healthy Plymouth event, in the Plymouth City Centre Piazza on Saturday 12 April 2014. The event is a chance to meet and feedback to local health care organisations and will also feature cookery demos, live music and a variety of activities for the whole family.

The event is an opportunity to raise awareness and to promote healthy attitudes amongst the local community. Representatives include Oral Cancer Awareness, Blood Transfusion, REI, Patient Services, Children’s Theatres and the Learning Disabilities team. Each stand will be manned by specialists who will be conducting interactive activities and offering specialist advice to an array of queries between 10.00 and 16.00.

Healthy Plymouth is organised by Healthwatch Plymouth, which joins colleagues from Plymouth City Council and a number of health care organisations to provide information on a wide range of health care topics to members of the public.
