Get the recipe for healthy living at Stoke Library

Stoke Library is hosting a drop-in event on Friday 30 August where people can find out how to eat well and stay healthy on a budget.

The 'Food is Fun Fayre', being run in partnership with the Healthy Living Network, will provide advice on healthy eating and healthy lifestyles, as well as promote ‘10% Clubs’ – a new ten-week healthy living programme launching in the city from September.

There will be free massage tasters from professional therapists and a GP liaison officer will be dropping in to get people's views on health priorities for the city.

You can also browse the library’s health and wellbeing resources and if you're not already a library member you can join up for free.

All libraries offer information on a range of health and social care issues and services and staff are trained to help you find what you need. The library service also holds health events every month – further details are available at www.plymouth.gov.uk/healthandwellbeing.

The Food is Fun Fayre will run 11am to 2pm and refreshments will be available. For more information about the event call Stoke Library on 01752 306239 or email stoke.library@plymouth.gov.uk.
