The South West’s Best Fish and Chip Shop has gone one step further and has launched a Fish Sandwich in light of British Sandwich Week.

Harbourside Fish and Chips on Plymouth’s Barbican will donate £1 from the sale of every Fish Sandwich during British Sandwich Week to the Fisherman’s Mission - the only fishermen’s charity that provides emergency support alongside practical, financial, spiritual and emotional care, to active or retired fishermen, and their families.

The fish finger style sandwich, which comprises of battered fish strips served with lettuce and tartar sauce (or a choice of sauce) in a bun, is a fun alternative to fish and chips and is also a great treat to enjoy on a day out to the seaside or on a lunch break.

Harbourside Co-Owner Sarah Lock says of the new Fish Sandwich:

“People love to enjoy fish and chips and they also love a good sandwich. With it being Great British Sandwich Week we thought why not make a fun alternative to a classic British favourite and join in with the Great British Sandwich Week whilst also supporting a worthy cause.”

*Harbourside also offers a Chip Buttie sandwich with a choice of sauces and lettuce for £2.10.
