The Donkey Sanctuary Ivybridge’s popular Summer Fair and Fun Dog Show is back on Saturday 7 June from 10am to 4pm with free admission and parking and plenty of fun for the whole family.

The fair is packed with demonstrations, games and attractions. Visitors can enjoy a dog agility demonstration and enter their own pooch in the exciting “have a go” dog agility show.

There will be a donkey riding therapy display and the chance to groom one of the resident donkeys or to try leading a donkey on a 'donkey agility' course. Expert handlers will be on site with alpacas and hawks and owls.

The whole family can enjoy stalls and games such as welly wangling and a duck race alongside delicious refreshments including a BBQ and ice creams, whilst meeting our lovely donkeys and helping to raise money to support vital donkey riding therapy for the local area.

Bob Venn, centre manager, says: “The Summer Fair is our biggest fundraising event of the year and we have organised some fantastic activities to keep the whole family entertained! There will be a fun fair, donkey cart rides, dance and dog agility demonstrations and the highlight of the day- the chance to enter your own dog into the dog show at 2pm. We hope you’ll join us!”

The Donkey Sanctuary Ivybridge provides donkey assisted therapy to 150 local children with additional needs from Plymouth and the surrounding area each week. For further information, about donkey assisted therapy visit: http://www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/donkey-assisted-therapy
