Lord Toby Jug Official State Visit

Lord Toby Jug, leader of The Eccentric Party of Great Britain, will be attending the opening night of the play 'Monster Raving Loony' about the life and times of his late friend and party leader, Screaming Lord Sutch.

The play opens on February 6th at the Plymouth Theatre Royal. Lord Toby will be meeting writer James Graham, and actor Samuel James, who plays Screaming Lord Sutch, after the show.

Lord Toby said "I'm really looking forward to seeing the play, it's long overdue, Lord Sutch, was a unique character, a jester to the nation, no matter what the national crisis was at the time. He wasn't just a one trick pony though with his politics, people seem to forget that he was also a pioneer of horror rock 'n' roll in the 1960's, with his horror act, being carried on stage in a coffin and leaping out in full horror make-up to launch into his biggest hit record 'Jack the Ripper.'

Girls in the audience would faint at the sight of this wild-man of Borneo and lunatic performer. His musical act can only be described as rock 'n' shock."

"He was a great rock 'n roll showman, I was so lucky to have backed him on guitar between 1991-1995, I've nothing but fond memories of being on the election campaign trail with him, it was all Sutch fun."
