Funky Llama Club Night

Following the success of Funky Llama Festival this summer, the Theatre Royal Plymouth will be holding a Funky Llama Club Night at Pryzm Night Club this October.

Clubbers can expect to be dancing all night long as the evening kicks off at 6pm with acoustic sets followed by DJs, live music and dancing until Midnight. There will also be a chance to get involved in a glitter bar, have pictures taken in a photo booth or try the Funky Llama Cocktail in the Steinbeck and Shaw chill out room. Attendees can also get 25% off food in restaurants (excluding Nandos) on the leisure park from 3pm – 8pm on the 19 October on the presentation of a ticket.

There will be various dance and music acts on throughout the night including local bands Freshly Squeezed, an 8-piece covering popular funk and hip-hop tracks and jump jive band, Company B. Alongside Funky Llama mentored artists such as DJ Dolphin, Luke Lundin and Spike.

Funky Llama team have been hard at work to ensure that this year’s Hollywood, red carpet themed night is the best yet! The club night is an inclusive, over 18’s event that provides adults with different abilities an opportunity to experience an authentic and age appropriate night out in a venue that they may not usually feel is accessible or safe for them. Funky Llama is fun for everyone and this year we have a fantastic line-up of local and national solo artists, bands, DJs and dance acts.”

Funky Llama is Theatre Royal Plymouth’s flagship project that celebrates the creative talents of adults with different abilities. It involves large-scale, performing arts and social events as well as increasing the amount of arts opportunities on offer throughout the region.

Funky Llama is about everyone having access to making and enjoying a world of music, dance and theatre. Funky Llama invites people to be creative, challenge perceptions and make new friends. It is funded by Big Lottery.
