Visitors to Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery can get a glimpse of the Devon and Cornwall art world thanks to a new exhibition by the Plymouth Society of Artists (PSA).

The show features around 80 works by members from the long-established society. These include works on paper, sculpture, landscapes and oil paintings.

“The exhibition is a chance for our visitors to get a first-hand look at the work of some of the South West’s current practising artists,” said exhibition programme co-ordinator Kate Johnson. “The PSA have exhibited at the Museum and Art Gallery on numerous occasions in the past. The shows have always proved popular and the content of their shows is always extremely varied.”

The exhibition also gives people an opportunity to purchase an original work of art as the majority of works on display will be for sale and can be reserved with a deposit. For those who do purchase a piece from the show, payment of the balance and collection of the work will take place on Monday 13 February, when the exhibition closes.

Exhibition opening hours are 10am to 5.30pm Tuesday to Friday and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays. For more information visit the What’s On pages at www.plymouthmuseum.gov.uk or call 01752 304774.
