Craft gallery wants local makers for exhibition

A Devon craft gallery announces an open call to local designer-makers.

'Get Fresh' is a popular biennial exhibition celebrating emerging designer-makers. It will run at Devon Guild of Craftsmen's contemporary gallery space from Saturday 19 January to Sunday 10 March 2019.

The Guild wants applications from early career craft makers, including graduates and start-up creatives in the South West region (including practitioners of photography, print-making and sculpture). The criteria are: you must be a resident of the South West UK (Bath, Bristol & Somerset, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire). Also be a maker of crafts within 5 years of graduating, or finishing training or setting up a new practice

So if you fit the bill and would like to express your interest in exhibiting and selling work in Get Fresh, please supply by email: 1 digital image (size 1MB) and some brief details about your work. Emai the information to Saffron Wynne on: saffron.wynne@crafts.org.uk. The deadline is 9.00am, Monday 14 May, 2018. Expressions of interest will receive an emailed acknowledgment; if you don’t receive one, please resend. You will then receive further information on how to send a full application.
