A second night of live music will take place on Plymouth Hoe this week as 12 local bands perform on the MTV Crashes Plymouth stage the day after the sell-out event.

Hosted by Plymouth City Council, the event will take place on Wednesday 16 July, with entertainment starting from 5pm.

Deputy Council Leader Peter Smith said: “We’re really excited about this event. Not only does it provide an opportunity for some of our local talent to perform on the MTV Crashes stage, it also lets people who didn’t attend the MTV concert to enjoy an evening of free entertainment.”

The Street Factory will kick off the evening with a hip hop dance performance, followed by young indie band Propeller and rapper Hayden Wright.

Acoustic sets will follow from The Dantes, Sam Fearon, Alice Gullick and Christian Sleep before alternative rock band The Rising take to the stage.

They’ll be followed by Midnight Blues Train, Souled Out and massively popular indie/rock band Joker, before the amazing Mad Dog McCrea round off a fantastic night of free entertainment.

Refreshments will be on sale and the event will finish at around 11pm.
