Could the next 'Man'Bassador be from Plymouth?

If you know a man that's all about ' having fun' and ' building new friendships', then get him to enter Round Table's ' Man of the Year' Competition.

Round Table is calling for professional men from Plymouth to get in touch with their bravest New Year’s resolutions, to be in with a chance of winning its first ever ‘Man of the Year’.

During January or what the organisation is calling ‘Manuary’, Round Table, the global social and community club for men, begins its search to find its new face for the UK.

As part of the Round Table’s efforts to push men to ‘Do More’, the successful candidate will become the advocate of the brand for 2014, championing the organisation’s activities, ranging from Santa sleighs and summer festivals to rock climbing and off-roading.

To enter, all men have to do is tell the organisation via Round Table’s Facebook page their most impressive New Year’s resolution, whether that’s learning a new unusual skill, completing an expedition or making a major change to their life.

The competition will see the bravest, craziest and most noble ‘resolutionist’ crowned the winner in early February.

Cait Allen, chief executive, from Round Table, said: “During Manuary, we’re searching for a brand ambassador that encompasses what we’re all about: having fun, giving back to the community and building new friendships."

“New Year is the perfect time for this search, as the winner’s New Year’s resolution will demonstrate their character and personality, showcasing their bravery, commitment and determination.”

Since 1927, when Round Table started in the UK, hundreds of thousands of men all over the world have been a part the club and each have excelled and been rewarded through the activities and opportunities it offers.

Cait continued: “Our group is all about pushing boundaries and bringing young men together who are on the same wavelength, enjoying activities such as organising major events, fitness challenges, or simply enjoying a regular kick about and a few pints down the local.”

To enter the competition, all men between 18 – 45 have to do is upload their resolution with supporting video or photographic evidence to Round Table’s Facebook page between 1-31 January 2014.
