Classic car show takes a different turn
Almost double the amount of Jaguars compared with last year will be coming to Plymouth this weekend to join the Jaguar Classic Car which will now take place on The Hoe.
Plymouth City Council were required to change the location of the car show this week as Jaguar enthusiasts and owners from all over the South West will be bringing their collections.
Now in its third year this popular event, which was previously scheduled to take place on the Barbican and Sutton Harbour, is significantly growing.
Around 100 Jaguars, which range from 50s classics through to modern day collections, will be displayed on The Hoe’s Promenade from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 10 August.
Visitors can explore the collections and ask car owners questions as they show off their historic motors. There will also be an award for the best looking car in the show.
Chris Arscott, Chair of the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership, said: “The Jaguar Classic Car show is fast becoming another one of the Waterfront’s most popular events. It’s great to hear that so many enthusiasts are keen to come to Plymouth and show off their pride and joy. The show is very impressive and offers something a little different for our visitors.”
