There’s something to put a spring in your step this summer as the largest trampoline park in Devon and Cornwall is due to open in Plymouth in June.

A relatively new concept in the UK, the trampoline park concept originated from the USA and Australia before hitting Europe around 5 years ago. The popularity of the sporting activity has increased hugely over the last year with 30 UK parks opening in the last 12 months alone.

The Super Tramp Park, located in a huge 10,000ft warehouse on Breakwater Road, Plymstock, will feature over 50 trampolines, a dodgeball court, wall running, basketball, and a number of weekly fitness classes. The site will also feature a large cafe and a number of function rooms.

Founded in 1983, Super Tramp have been designing, installing and maintaining trampolines for over 30 years and have designed and built trampoline parks across Europe in the last few years. When the Devon based business decided that it was time to open their own park, Plymouth was the obvious choice.

Managing Director Mark Schofield commented ‘We’ve been working on sites all over Europe, not only designing and building parks but also delivering comprehensive training and safety programmes to their staff and we felt the time was right to open our own site. Having grown up in and around Devon, I knew that there was a real opportunity to further develop the recreational offering in the city and after a year of planning we’re so pleased to be opening our flagship park here.’

The opening of the Super Tramp Park creates 30 new full and part time jobs and construction is currently underway with the park due for completion in early June.

More information can be found on the Super Tramp Plymouth website (www.supertrampplymouth.co.uk) where there is also the opportunity to win one of 10 exclusive invites to the opening event this summer!
