Plymouth Hospitals Charity raises money for every ward and department in Derriford Hospital, for the Child Development Centre and Plymouth Dialysis Unit.

They aim to support the work of staff and raise standards above the level that NHS funding alone allows. On Sunday 12th October, 11:00 to 2:30pm, there is a sponsored Autumn ‘Walk for Wards’ at Saltram House Woods and Parkland, Plympton, Devon, PL7 1UH.

Everyone is invited to come along and raise money for the ward or department of their choice.

Jenny Aspland, Fundraising Manager based at Derriford Hospital, said: "This is a 2 mile walk which is accessible for everyone. Go at your own pace, have fun with family and friends, picnic in the grounds or visit the National Trust Café. Dogs are very welcome."

National Trust staff are helping the charity organise a nature trail treasure hunt for children along the route. Please join staff and supporters of Plymouth Hospitals Charity on the walk, and raise money for the area of the hospital closest to your heart.
