As many of you already know, every year the biggest and most popular poker festival in the world, the WSOP (World Series of Poker) is held.

This tournament is held annually in Las Vegas, bringing together thousands of poker fans and top professionals to compete for the title of "best poker player in the world" and to win a beautiful and prestigious WSOP bracelet.

As we told you some time ago, the World Series of Poker will have a new home from next year and it will be at the Bally's and Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This was recently announced in one of the last poker events, when it was also mentioned that the WSOP returns to action next year and will feature actor and comedian Vince Vaughnas "Master of Ceremonies".

The next championship to be held in 2022, will be the 53rd annual edition and will be played from May 31 to July 19. Unlike previous years, this time the event will change venue. After being played for 17 years at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, this year the World Series of Poker will be housed in the Paris and Bally's Hotel & Casino.

How does the WSOP works?

First there is a closed tournament for those working in the casino, then an open tournament for all players and finally a series of tournaments for the professionals. The tournament takes place over a total of 50 days, and almost 500 poker tables equipped with a luxury poker set are required.

The top prize of the WSOP is an incredible sum of money; a huge pot of millions of dollars. In addition, the tournament awards the title of the best player and the famous gold bracelet that has a unique design and differs from the rest of the bracelets of side events.

The difference between a WSOP bracelet and winning the WSOP Main Event

There are bracelets handed out every year for whoever wins a WSOP event; however, there is one special bracelet handed out to de winner of the Main Event. This means that many people win bracelets as a price, but only one can win the Main Event bracelet, in addition to the massive cash prize.

The most expensive trophy in the world

Today, the bracelet awarded at the WSOP Main Event has become one of the most expensive trophies in the world. It is estimated that the last bracelets are valued in the range of $500,000.

However, beyond its great material value, this bracelet is even more valuable because of how difficult it is to obtain. There is a well-known phrase among the poker fans that says: "The bracelet is priceless because you can't buy it, you can only earn it."

WSOP 2022 organization

Although the schedule of activities that will take place at the WSOP 2022 has not yet been released, it is estimated that this world poker tournament consists of approximately 100 events, covering most of the poker variants.

In order to host such a large number of events, a large deployment of poker tables (between 500 and 600 per tournament) with the appropriate features and the best quality is required. Especially at the time of the Main Event, where a luxury poker set and a luxurious table with all the amenities to properly receive the finalists of the tournament is fixed.

The new venue of the WSOP will be at Barry's Hotel & Casino and Paris, and has the advantage of being located in the heart of Las Vegas. However, on social media people have already started to criticize about the limited parking space compared to the Rio and the traffic to get around (both on foot and by car) during peak hours.

The full schedule of the WSOP 2022 will be published in January, and surely so will the first offers of hotel packages not to miss this fascinating world cup.
