SWH, the construction and highways maintenance contractor, opened a new office in Plymouth on 2 February.

The company claims to have both the largest and most highly skilled workforce of its type in the region with an emphasis on employing local people working out of local offices. It also has nearby offices in Ivybridge and Tavistock.

MD Ben Pyle says, “We plan to repeat the success we have enjoyed in Poole where we have grown our business and created genuine local employment. The only difference is that this time it’s more a question of consolidating a long history of involvement in the area.

"Right now we are building the new helipad at Derriford Hospital and local people may have seen our site at Laira Bridge.

"These follow many contracts around Plymouth including several around the airport and a number of both engineering and building projects at Cattedown. Now we are planning to also offer small scale works across the city for local businesses and householders. If you need someone to resolve just about any of your property needs please call our Plymouth office.”
