Leading Devon law firm, Beers LLP, is growing its commercial practice with a move across Plymouth and the appointment of two key legal professionals.

The full-service law firm has recently taken a new tenancy of the ground floor of North Quay House in Sutton Harbour and relocated its Plymouth team from its former premises in Parkway Court.

The move marks a significant development for the growing law firm.

Managing Partner Michael Hasler said: “Moving to Sutton Harbour improves our profile in Plymouth, provides easy access to the courts and positions us in the heart of the business sector. It’s exactly where we need to be.”

In addition to the office move, Beers has also taken on two key recruits to bolster its legal offering to the commercial market.

Julian Parry has joined the firm as a Partner in the employment team having spent the last nine years in the employment practice of a highly regarded London law firm. Julian has specialised in employment law since qualifying as a solicitor in 1999 and has advised and acted for employers in many sectors, from SMEs to PLCs including many household name companies. He will be developing the employment law practice focusing on employers, delivering practical and commercial advice and training to businesses and HR teams.

The firm also welcomes Gary Eddleston-Haynes who joins as a litigation solicitor. Gary, who qualified as a solicitor in 1995, specialises in commercial dispute resolution, including property and financial matters. He has taken cases to the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights and has acted for numerous national PLCs, government departments, local authorities and large trusts, as well as individual clients. He also has extensive experience of mediation.

Both recruits are based in the new Plymouth office alongside the thriving commercial property and personal injury teams. The personal injury team deal with all types of accidents ranging from road traffic accidents to clinical negligence.

Michael Hasler added: “Our new office location and expanded team enables us to offer a full commercial service to businesses in Plymouth and beyond. We are looking forward to growing the practice and expanding our reputation for high-quality advice to a wider client base.”

The firm also offers private client and property services from its offices in Kingsbridge. The firm strives to provide a personalised, high quality service to its clients and is well regarded both locally and nationally, being rated in the Legal 500.
