New appointment at The Family Law Company

The divorce and finance team at The Family Law Company in Plymouth has received a boost with the appointment of experienced solicitor, Anne Shears.

Anne, who grew up in Saltash, gained a degree in Law and German at Cardiff University before joining a Plymouth practice as a trainee in 2005. After qualifying, she started in conveyancing, moving then to specialise in family law.

Anne now joins Director Jonathan Madge in the Princess Street office to concentrate on divorce and finance.

She said: “Every aspect of divorce can be stressful, but settling the family finances in particular can present a major challenge to achieving amicable resolution.

“I’m very excited to be joining a regional practice that has a problem-solving approach to family law, and to have the opportunity to work with some of the best family lawyers in the area.”

Business Development Director Rachel Buckley, who appointed Anne, said: “Our team in Plymouth is growing to keep apace of the workload, and Anne’s experience in family law is a welcome addition to the service we offer. We wish her every success in her new role.”
