Alison Seabeck, MP for Plymouth Moor View, has encouraged local businesses to enter the Manufacturer of the Year Awards 2014, which celebrate excellence in the manufacturing industry.

The 2014 Awards were launched in Parliament by Business Minister Michael Fallon. Over 200 senior business leaders attended the launch including representatives from Rolls Royce, GE Aviation, Mulberry, BAE Systems, and many more. The awards provide an opportunity for both celebration and recognition of innovation in the industry, and are open to all businesses regardless of size.

This means that the smallest businesses have an equal chance of winning one of the prestigious prizes as some of the biggest manufacturing brands in the country. And entries for the coveted awards are now open. For details on how to enter please go to http://www.themanufacturer.com/eventsites/awards2014/How-to-Enter/

Alison Seabeck MP said: “The Manufacturer of the Year Awards is a great opportunity for outstanding manufacturers across the country to receive recognition for innovation and enterprise. The manufacturing industry contributes £140 billion a year to the economy. I would strongly encourage local businesses in my constituency to put themselves forward for the 2014 Awards and showcase the talent we have here in Plymouth.”
