Leading Women UK's International Women's Day Campaign

The Westcountry’s fastest growing female network is leading South West support on International Women’s Day.

The digital campaign run by Leading Women UK aims to inspire change on Women's Day by asking women to share their top piece of advice on how to #BeYourselfAtWork.

They are also asking people to support Women’s Day by partaking in a social media Thunderclap campaign.

Support from the online Twitter networking community @Devon_hour last night (5/3/2014) boosted the momentum of the campaign.

The Thunderclap action aims to gather best advice from members via social media. The top three themes will be taken and used to shape a conference by Leading Women UK. The half-day event in Plymouth will have top motivational speakers reflecting on that best advice drawn from the International Women’s Day campaign.

Leading Women UK founder, Rachel Jones, said: “We will hold an event to enable positive action to be taken based on the message we’re hearing in our digital campaign. We pride ourselves on listening to our members, responding to them and setting out attainable targets to continue to move women forward in business.”

The Thunderclap will begin on Saturday at noon. Anyone who would like to take part can sign up in the next two days by visiting http://bit.ly/1e1TkWK

Last year more than 40 workshops, 3 conferences and over 60 networking meetings were held by the organisation in Cornwall.
