Plymouth is launching its investment guide to tell the world why Britain’s Ocean City is the perfect place to invest.

The guide is a snap-shot of why businesses should look at Plymouth and is being launched with a bang at the British Fireworks Championships which attracts thousands of people to the city’s stunning waterfront.

A special event will take place on the final night of the championships and will include representatives from organisations that have contributed to the guide as well as firms who have shown an interest in locating to the city.

Councillor Leader Tudor Evans said: “We want to show how far Plymouth has come and how far we intend to go in our ambition to be one of Europe’s most vibrant waterfront cities where an outstanding quality of life is enjoyed by everyone.

“There’s been a huge amount of exciting change over the last few years. Plymouth University is taking giant strides on the national and international stage, the Royal William Yard is now open and is helping the city’s burgeoning reputation as a foodie heaven and a place with plenty to see, do, eat and drink.

“We now have the Plymouth Life Centre – one of the best sports and leisure facilities in the country.

“A great city is not just about number of houses and people. It is about life style, opportunities for everyone, regardless of their start in life, it’s about stuff to do, about the space around us.”
