South West-based luxury lodge retreat specialist Charteroak Estates has today announced that Blue Chip Holidays, the South West’s largest supplier of four- and five-star self catering properties, has been appointed as sole agent for its three lodge developments in the region from January 2015.

Under the agreement Blue Chip Holidays will be responsible for marketing and promoting Stonerush lakes in Cornwall, Indio Lakes in Devon, and Saxon Maybank in Dorset, where guests can choose to stay in a selection of one, two, and three-bedroom lodges.

At Stonerush Lakes, just a few miles from Fowey and Polperro, guests have a choice of twenty-three high-end waterside and woodland lodges, each positioned to give a feel of isolation in an idyllic wilderness location. At Indio Lakes near Bovey Tracey in Devon, guests will be able to stay in nine lakeside lodges overlooking waters created by the monks of the nearby ‘In Deo’ Monastery. At Saxon Maybank near Bradford Abbas in Dorset, guests can enjoy lodges and barn conversions built to make the most of their rural position, tucked away in some of England’s finest countryside.

Commenting on Blue Chip Holidays’ appointment Sam Wrigglesworth, Head of Product Development, said: “Charteroak Estates have one of the finest collections of waterside and countryside lodges in the country. With close to forty properties, and plans for more, this deal represents a significant increase in the size of our portfolio, and further improves the breadth of experience we can offer our discerning holiday guests.”

Edward Rowlandson, Managing Director for Charteroak, added: “We pride ourselves on continually improving on the ‘Charteroak experience’. Our aim is to give our customers an escape where they have access to all the comforts of modern living, yet they feel like they are miles from anywhere. From sunken outdoor hot tubs and impressive verandas, to log burners, four-poster beds, luxurious en suites and walk-in wardrobes, our lodges offer understated luxury in truly idyllic settings.”

Rowlandson added: “Having worked hard to create such a fantastic product, it was important to us to find a partner that not only understands our business, and the needs of our owners, but also the demands of our customers and the market within which we operate. Blue Chip Holidays’ personal approach impressed us greatly as it closely matches our own customer philosophy. We are delighted to be working with them and look forward to delivering wonderful holiday experiences for customers, and impressive returns on investment for our holiday lodge owners.”
