Plymouth-based brand communications agency Fuel has expanded its services to its UK client base by hiring an award-winning affiliate marketing expert.

Severiano Catindig-Stagg has joined the agency with 4 years experience in the affiliate channel and was named ‘Rising Star’ at the 2016 Performance Marketing Awards for his work with brands such as La Redoute, Moo and Snapfish across multiple networks and territories.

With millions of consumers flocking to sites such as Quidco, Vouchercloud and Groupon, brands are increasingly aware that they need to compete in these areas or risk losing online sales from customers seeking cashback and voucher codes.

Current statistics indicate that over 80% of brands now run an affiliate program of sorts, bringing the channel much more into the mainstream and giving advertisers access to thousands of third parties who are willing to promote them in exchange for a commission on any sales their work leads to.

Commenting on his decision to join Fuel, Seve said: “Fuel is a highly regarded agency for its strategic approach and ability to grow awareness and engagement for its clients. By stepping into the affiliate space, it is opening up more opportunities for its clients. I am delighted to be heading up this new service.”

Martyn King, Managing Director at Fuel, explained: “Seve brings a proven ability to open up new audiences and sales for businesses trading online. Bringing him into the business enables us to drive more demand and more business for our clients which is what we are all about.”
