Over the past two weeks in the Stoke area of Plymouth, residents and staff of Care Homes have reported a woman asking for money.
The woman is described as a well-dressed white Female in her mid-20s, 5ft 6 inches tall with brown shoulder length hair. The woman has reportedly been asking for money for a number of different reasons.
She has said that he need for money is either that she is pregnant or she has just had a baby. She has also said that she was a victim of domestic abuse. Another claim was that a family member was in hospital and that she had no money to get a taxi to Hospital. She indicated that she needed money a variety of destinations including Saltash, Callington and Liskeard.
Police need the public to be aware and stress, that whatever information she is passing to residents they should remain vigilant. The nature of her claims would indicate that they are false and members of the public are requested not to hand over any money.
