Sentimental jewellery taken in burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Ivybridge Monday 12 June.

The offence took place between 8am and 8pm on Monday 12 June at a property in the Hazeldene Close area, on Plymouth Road in Ivybridge.

The offender caused damage to a window and gained entry to the property.

During the theft, the offender stole sentimental family jewellery which included a silver coloured homemade ‘from Bemuda’ bangle, another bangle with three bands along it, a white gold wedding necklace with a white gold bracelet, a collection of Pandora rings a sliver locket and a white gold brooch of a riding crop with a saddle.

Detective Constable Richard Griggs said: “We would like to hear from anyone who has been offered items of jewellery for sale since the burglary took place, and are uncertain of where it came from. Police would also like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area during the time of the theft.”
