Police appeal after hit-and-run in Plymouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run collision in Plymouth in the early hours of Sunday morning which left a man injured.

Police were notified at around 4.40am on Sunday 28 May 2017 to reports of a man lying unconscious in the road at Hirmandale Road, Plymouth.

As a result of the incident, the victim, who is in his 30s, has sustained serious and potentially life-changing injuries.

Investigating Officer Phil Rooks of the Serious Collisions Investigation Team said: “We are appealing to the driver of a grey hackney taxi that picked up a man from the Octagon and dropped them off at Hirmandale Road at around 4am to contact police.

“We are also asking members of the public who may have witnessed a grey coloured taxi in the area at that time to come forward.”
