Man arrested following A38 crash

Emergency services were called to the scene of a two-car collision involving a grey BMW Saloon and a black Nissan Derive on the A38 last night, Thursday 25 August.

Police were called at 10.30pm following reports of a two vehicle collision on the A38 westbound at St Budeaux, Plymouth.

The road was closed for almost three hours as officers, as well as ambulance and fire crews attended the scene.

A 41-year-old woman was freed from a vehicle by fire crews and taken to Derriford hospital for treatment, her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcholol and is currently in police custody.
