Former porter rises to head of food and beverage at Future Inn
The Future Inns group has announced the appointment of Matthew Chiswell to the position of Food and Beverage Manager at its Plymouth hotel.
With eight years of experience in the hotel industry Matthew moves up from his three year position as Duty Manager.
With hotels in Bristol and Cardiff, the group launched its 143 bedroom hotel in Plymouth in 2006. Located on William Prance Road at Plymouth International Business Park, the hotel with onsite ‘Fishbone’ restaurant and conference facilities, employs 52 members of staff.
Janice Carpenter, General Manager of Future Inns Plymouth said: "Matthew has been a huge asset to the team and we couldn’t be happier to have seen him develop his career with us starting out as our night porter eight years ago. We wish Matthew every success in his new role.”
Matthew Chiswell said: "I am excited to be looking after all aspects of catering for the hotel with its’ events, business conferencing and our Fishbone restaurant. It is also great to be working with local suppliers who supply fresh ingredients, in particular fish for our seafood themed restaurant.
I strongly believe we have fantastic food to offer and really look forward to making my own contribution to the growth of the hotel.”
