PLYMOUTH Science Park has welcomed two aspiring young film makers as their latest tenants.

Round One Films has been set up by Plymouth College of Art Students Robert Marshall and Aden Barwick who both graduated this year with 2:1 Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Film.

The team aim to make short films, feature films and short films for business. Their work to date has already been submitted for a number of prestigious awards.

Cameraman and producer Robert says they moved to the Science Park to take advantage of the support and help the team there offer to their clients.

“Choosing to grow our business at the Plymouth Science Park was a no-brainer for us,” says Robert.

“It is a great place that is full of innovative and creative businesses which we hope to build networks and relationships with in the future. The help and support we have received from the people at PSP has been invaluable and really solidified our decision to base our company here.”

Plymouth Science Park is home to 80 businesses and 800 employees and offers all of its clients access to their own mentoring service, the PSP Advisory Board, to help business grow.

Christian Jenkins, Director of Operations for PSP, says: “We are home here to a community consisting of everything from one man start-ups to multi-national corporations and especially welcome young entrepreneurs like Robert and Aden.

“The Park is designed to create opportunities for tenants to share knowledge and expertise, offer cross sector business opportunities and inspire them to achieve new levels of success so whether you are an entrepreneur, scientist or academic, the Park’s dynamic cluster of knowledge-based businesses offers the perfect environment in which to succeed.

“Our Advisory Board offers invaluable mentoring skills to help grow businesses both large and small and has a solid, proven track record of outstanding achievement. We are looking forward to helping these two talented young men achieve the success they deserve.”
