Broadbase unveils stunning new Plymouth workplace at the Future of Construction
With the help of Broadbase Office Interiors, Construction Materials Online (CMO) inaugurated their impressive new offices at the Future of Construction event in Plymouth on 20th September.
CMO’s 878 square metre offices in Burrington Park were planned, designed, built and fitted-out by Broadbase as part of an intensive 12-week project. The Future of Construction event was an ideal opportunity to showcase the new home of CMO’s 98 employees.
After a presentation from architectural designer and TV presenter Charlie Luxton, the invited audience of construction industry professionals embraced the opportunity to network with their peers before exploring CMO’s new offices – acclaimed as one of the most innovative new workspaces in the region.
Andy Dunkley, CEO at Construction Materials Online commented: “Here at CMO, the wellbeing of our employees is a priority. To help ensure we’re able to hire, keep and nurture the best talent, Broadbase has created an environment that our people can enjoy, where they feel comfortable, and where they’re able to do their best work.
“It’s an inspirational space that sets the standard in workmanship and uses the highest quality contemporary materials throughout. Working with the Broadbase team has been a real pleasure. Their professionalism, commitment and attention to detail from start to completion has delivered a new workspace that we can be proud of.”
Employee wellbeing is high on the agenda for most businesses and research shows that well-designed modern workplaces support happier, more productive employees by providing the spaces and tools people need to perform at their best.
For CMO, Broadbase incorporated features that help employees focus on individual tasks when they need to, while also facilitating collaboration between teams. These include the use of high-backed chairs and wall dividers for soundproofing and the design of a range of spaces to meet a wide variety of formal, informal and social requirements.
“We understand what makes a smarter workplace – and we’re delighted with the results at CMO,” commented Broadbase Managing Director, Stephen Galvin. “Whether it’s relocation or refurbishment, redesign or new build, our team always aims to deliver thoughtfully designed buildings and interiors that encourage a dynamic work culture and contribute real business value. I think that’s exactly what we’ve achieved here with CMO’s new offices.”
