6,000 fewer offences across Devon and Cornwall

Overall crime across Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has fallen by 6.7% - that is over 6,000 fewer recorded offences. This covers the financial year period April 2012 to March 2013.

Devon and Cornwall Police report that the body of a man has been found in the back of a van in Plymstock.

Police received a call from ambulance staff at around 4.15pm on Monday 8 April with a report that a deceased man had been located in the back of a van parked on Radford Park Road.

Plymouth City Council is to continue to host the Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Panel until March 2014.
